An opportunity for high school singers grades 9-12 to experience the excitement of a live Chorale rehearsal under the direction of Donald P. Jenkins. Visiting choristers will sit side-by-side with Chorale members in their respective sections and sing along with the powerful voices of the Chorale.

Purpose of the Program:

Our intent is to offer a rewarding stimulus to high school students in the hope that they will continue to participate in choral groups in high school and beyond and further develop a life-long appreciation for choral music.
Only three evenings are available for this year’s Come and Sing! program, so sign up early. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Up to 50 students can be accommodated, so multiple choral groups or individuals selected by their choral director from the same school are welcome.

Come and Sing! dates for the 2006-7 season:
November 8, 2006; November 15, 2006; and February 28, 2007.
All Come and Sing! rehearsals will be from 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm at the First Christian Church, which is located at 16 E. Platte Avenue in downtown Colorado Springs.
Copies of music can be provided to participating choirs at no cost at the request of their directors. As a bonus, Donald P. Jenkins will visit the schools involved to provide a choral workshop, if the high school choral director so desires.
