Again this year, we have the opportunity and the privilege to serve our community as we sing the National Anthems (USA and Canada) and America the Beautiful for the annual IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial, happening the morning of Saturday, September 16th.  For those who have not yet had a chance to partake, The IAFF every year commemorates those fire fighters from the United States and Canada who have given their lives in the line of duty; this year 196 names will be added to the walls surrounding the beautiful statue in the NW corner of Memorial Park.  The occasion is simultaneously solemn, uplifting, and rather raucous (there are after all over 300 bagpipers marching down the park in formation!).  We fulfill the need of leading the public in honorable music while witnessing the hard-as-nails integrity which this group of men and women exhibit every day for all of us.  It is difficult to find a more worthy use of our voices.
